Performs a variety of administrative and basic accounting, including support for partners and managers.
Assists Office Manager with filing deadlines and general office duties.
Assists in supervising Office Assistant.
Assists during heavy deadline times in both the accounting and administrative functions.
Supervision Received:
Success monitored by the Supervisor based on timeliness and accuracy of bookkeeping and administrative tasks, quality of communication, ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, and follow-through on all activities associated with this administrative and accounting support function.
Scope & Dimensions:
Thoroughness and timeliness in performing the tasks required of this support function will impact the entire organization by helping to streamline the company's processes and ensure that the areas associated with this function receive ample attention.
Systematic and thorough attention to and consistent follow through in the areas associated with this position are important to servicing the Firm's employees and clients, thereby directly impacting the Firm's continued success.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Performs general bookkeeping functions for the Firm and a variety of clients, including bill paying, recording payroll, monitoring cash flow, and keeping manager informed of issues.
Communicates and corresponds with clients.
Handles client billing for the Firm.
Maintains confidentiality of all client and Firm information to the greatest possible degree.
Provides backup for Office Manager:
answers telephones, handles calls, routes to appropriate individual, or takes messages.
Assists in making meetings and coordinating calendars and schedules.
Maintains records and organizes filing and archive system to facilitate the expeditious retrieval of information.
Assists Managing Partner with various research and/or special projects.

Responsibilities:
Provides detailed information / reports to management as needed.
Must be able to work in our Solana Beach office:
Monday thru Friday, 8:
30am to 5pm Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience, and Educational Requirements:
Ability to develop competence in general bookkeeping and general office functions.
Ability to develop high proficiency in Quickbooks, Practice CS, UltraTax, Word, EXCEL, and Outlook.
Ability to become knowledgeable of administrative and standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the Accounting field.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
