Seeking a hands-on IT Manager responsible for managing internal IT operations and infrastructure. We are a software product company and we make a business app that redesigns the way the world interacts with data. Responsibilities:
Oversee internal IT operations, infrastructure, and systems.
Provide internal, on-site support via phone, email and other electronic medium for internal users representing a diverse user community.
Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of Operating System & software, customizing it to fit user needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical hardware & software issues for Mac & PC users.
Install & perform repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
Identify & resolve situations requiring urgent attention.
Support & assist users in the effective use of internal tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google Apps & WebEx.
Manage device inventory
Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related
3 - 5 years related experience
Preferred
Experience:
Working experience with Linux, Mac, and Windows client & server systems.
System Administration experience in an AWS and/or VMware environment.
Positive attitude
Desire to learn & implement new technologies
Customer service & support background
Cisco ASA experience a plus
Scripting experience with Bash and/or Powershell a plus
Audio/Video experience a plus
Skills:
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi, DNS, DHCP, POP3, IMAP, SMTP
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized
Experience with hardware and software technical issues
Good communication (oral & written), interpersonal, and presentation skills
Must be able to work in a team environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects with minimal direction
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to work independently, while still meeting all required deadlines
Ability to lift 50lbs
