Systems Engineer ? Technical Support



We are seeking someone who can provide excellent Networking and Server support in an environment with 1000+ internal customers located at 35 locations throughout the US. This role will be working with a team of IT staff who operate out of our corporate office in Solana Beach, CA. This person will be supporting a large variety of technologies that will create many unique experiences from day to day.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist in the planning, installation, management, and maintenance of wired and wireless network infrastructure devices and software

  • Tier 3-4 Level Help Desk support for networking and servers

  • Supporting the Senior Systems Administrator for daily tasks

  • Manage projects and applications as assigned by Senior Staff



Candidates should have excellent problem solving, critical thinking, organization and communication skills, and be able to work both independently and part of a team.



The Engineer will travel to branch locations throughout the year to perform onsite work. Travel may be up to 10% of the time. Travel is infrequent and typically scheduled in advance.

Experience:?3+ years in a help desk or similar IT role, minimum 1 year of admin level network and server experience



Job Requirements: Pass a background check (no criminal convictions), pass a drug screen, able to lift 25 lbs



Education:?Bachelor?s Degree from a 4-year accredited university



Skills:?Critical and creative thinking, Switch configuration, Router configuration and monitoring, Network performance balancing, Server configuration/monitoring, Enterprise application support, Wireless network support.



Technologies:?Windows desktops (7/10), Microsoft Server 2008/12/16, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Exchange 2013, VMWare, Active Directory, LAN/WAN technologies (Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Wireless access points), ADFS, Airwatch, SAN, Azure, Fortigate, HP Procurve, Unifi.

The IDEAL Candidate



  • 3+ year's work experience in a technical support role

  • 1+ year of admin level work with both servers and networking

  • Experience with Fortigate firewalls, Unifi Wifi, and VMware

  • Great customer service and communication skills

  • Good troubleshooting skills with Windows computers

  • Ability to work independently on projects and complete on time.




Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
